Congratulations to overall winner Ron Needham winning on count back with 37 points ahead of Greg Kinsler. In third place in division 1 was John Unwin with 33 points. York Cup Congratulations to Greg Kinsler with a combined total of 75 points winner of the trophy.
Division 1 winner Colin Lockwood 73 and Joe Pasqualino was second with 71 points.
In Div 2 behind Greg Art Cooper and Jonathon Harper both on 68 points.

Championship Round 1 John Unwin wins the round 1 trophy and takes a four shot lead in the gross competition and a three shot lead for the nett comp into the final round. Rob Cottingham is the nearest contender. Results
Three Club A curious result in what was an unusually low scoring competition. Six players tied the scores on 32 points with Paul Cooper, Dave Plant and Jim Rorison occupying the top three places.

York Cup Round 2 Greg Kinsler with an exceptional round of 43 points effectively takes a 5 point lead into the final round. On the day John Watson had 37 points and Louis Reynolds 36 to remain in contact for the third round. Results
Start of Season Cup Almost unplayable at times due to extremely strong winds but despite the conditions some impressive scores. Congratulations to overall winner Roger Kennedy with a net score 76, also in the prizes

York Cup Round 1 Played in excellent conditions on a dry course with little wind. A comp played off white tees but on this occasion every tee set back to the maximum yardage. To make play a little more challenging some greens had recently
been slit, others during the round and in the case of the 14th debris littering the green. Despite all a very credible 38 points for Colin Lockwood, with Ron Needham 36, John Linskey 35 and john rickett in close attendance. 35 Results

Congratulations to Gordon Kind overall winner with a round of 38 points.
Division 1 was won by Garry Adam ahead on count back of Bob Ford on 36 and Mike Walton 3rd on 35.
In Div 2 behind Gordon Kind Graham Wilson 36 and Keith Wake 35. Div 1 and Div2

A strong round 3 from John Unwin 39 pts, followed by Dave Mann 38, Mike Pearce 37 and both Mike Walton and Ron Needham on 36 pts.
Best two of three rounds to count.
Overall winner of the trophy was Mike Walton with a score of 73 points ahead on countback from Paul Rawlings. ( where scores are tied the order is determined by the second highest scoring round. MW 36, PR 34)

York Cup Round 2.
Several high scoring rounds, Trevor Walkers 40 points highest on the day. In the best 2 of three format currently there is no clear leader, the highest combined score is 71. All leading to an interesting final round with 14 players having recorded a round of 36 or better. OoM results all players.

Congratulations to Roger Davey, winner of the gross competition with rounds of 79 and 87 for a total of 166 finishing 11 shots clear of Rob Cottingham with 177 and Clint Allen third on 178.

Overall winner of the Nett Championship with a clear lead of 5 shots was Reg Boot with an excellent combined score of 138. Congratulations to Reg. Overall second was Ray Dowland 143 third John Linskey 145.

A win for Keith Manning with 39 points and in second place with 36 points John Unwin. Jonathan Harper was third with 33 points.

Neil's Test Difficult conditions on a course playing long and wet in places but a clear winner. Keith Manning with 38pts five ahead of John Unwin and Danny Huddlestone both on 33 points.

York Cup Reduced to a single round and certainly an unusual course for the early starters. A three way count back on 38 points to decide the overall winner of the trophy.. Les Burton with a 1 point advantage on the back 9 over Andy Locke and Ron Needham. Divisional results were:-

The competition was not without controversy, results were re-issued, a four ball initially played a hole off yellow tees before correcting an re-teeing from the whites. A deduction of 2 points was made from the cards of the four involved, affecting the top positions of the competition.
