"Last week's number of brave (daft) souls was reduced to 10 today. However, despite the cold we pressed on towards our goal....a steaming mug of tea in the 19th Hole. Scores were low like the temperature,. Although Andy Izod returned a respectable 32 pts. Bob Ford sneaked in ahead of Gerry Cannings on CB (again, sorry Gerry) with 28pts.

"With a lull in the frosty weather, 15 brave souls attempted to rediscover their golf swing. It would appear Mr. Hustler didn't need any rediscovering, as he retuned a very commendable 20 pts. In 2nd place was John Unwin with 19 pts., and 3rd was John McDougall with 18 pts."

November 30th Unusual day today waiting to see if the course was going to be
open. Finally given the all clear we started 1st tee 10.15am. The green-staff did an exceptional job of putting winter greens in on seventeen holes, Putting around the hole was akin to the par three, a bit hit and miss, but this didn't stop 1st place John McDougal from scoring an amazing 41pts. 2nd was Jonathan Harper with a creditable 39pts & 3rd with another good score Andy Izod with of 37pts. Only one two J. Harper but did not enter. NTP Roger Davey.

With a healthy turn-out of 41, and the course in good condition, a closely fought battle resulted in a win, on 36pts, for Les Burton. 2nd place on c/back was Roger Kennedy, and 3rd on c/back was Bill Dodman. Graham Wilson 4th on 35pts, and in 5th place was Dave Mann with 34 pts. All the above are prize-winners.

A challenging course as a number of greens had been top dressed but despite that a number of better than par rounds were recorded. Winning on count back was Clint Allen 39 pts ahead of 2nd Steve Batchelor 39 points, 3rd Les Burton 38 points , 4th John Unwin 37 points and 5th Roger Kennedy 35 points.

March 12th No rain but a howling gale across the course. Only one player broke 30!! Half the field failed to better 20!!! An excellent score of 31 in the conditions for John Unwin to win, followed by Mike Pearce on 28pts.

February 20th Another difficult day, course only playing 9 holes and a strong westerly wind. A strong score considering the conditions fpr Paul Cooper 19, followed by a three way count back on 17 with prizes to Gerry Cannings and Keith Wake. Gerry also won NtP and Dave Deeping the 2's Results
January 30th Improving conditions reflected in the scoring, 9 out of 33 made par or better. Colin Lockwood was again man of the moment with 40 pts followed by Mike Pearce on 38. January 23rd Finally a competition played off 18 holes and a very good score to win, in far from easy conditions. January 16th The difficult conditions continue and only 9 holes playable. Jonathan Harper defied the conditions with a very creditable score of 22 points. October 3rd Despite a team at Toft an encouraging field of 40 players including some new faces. Jon Crouch was the winner with 39 points, second Steve Batchelor 37, ahead on count back from Andy Locke and also in the prizes Keith Manning on 36 points.
